AN ART INSPIRED PARK
With nine hectares of park and wetlands featuring boardwalks and a viewing deck as well as McNeilly Park, designed by landscape architects Florence Jaquet, it’s easy to relax at Jackson’s View. Walking, riding, running. Picnicking, meditating or just sitting. There’s space for everyone in this tranquil setting among the rare Strzelecki gums.
For the kids there’s a tactile, ‘all abilities’ adventure park with a range of activities on offer, such as sliding, spinning, climbing, sliding and hiding – all just close enough to the BBQ area to allow the right amount of supervision.
THE VISION BEHIND THE DREAM
Building on the Jackson family’s pioneering heritage, three decades ago Alan Jackson had a wish – to transform a parcel of beautiful grazing land into a new community that bestowed a true sense of place to all who lived there.
Generations of Jacksons have lived in Gippsland for over 150 years, playing key roles in the communities around Drouin, Jindivick and Warragul.
In the mid 1980’s the land that was to become Jackson’s View was purchased from local farmer Geoff McNeilly.
Jackson’s View is now home to a small and connected community and is welcoming new residents weekly.
